PokéSurvivor legendaries and the 18 rift arenas
A rift opens on the map, you step through, and a legendary meets you in an arena built from its type. Win and you leave with ×10 tickets. Here is every arena, every legendary, and what to bring.

How rifts work
Rifts are rare portals. They do not follow a schedule you can plan around, which is why the practical advice is simply to go in whenever one appears — unless your build cannot answer that arena's type at all.
Inside, you fight a single legendary in an arena themed on one of its types, with its own terrain and weather. The reward for a win is always ×10 gacha tickets; a loss returns you to the map with nothing lost except the opportunity.
One arena per type
18 arenas in total, from Eternal Meadow (Normal) to Enchanted Forest (Fairy). The arena is themed on the type, not on the individual legendary.
Dual types are a coin flip
A legendary with two types picks one at random when the arena is built, so the same legendary can meet you in either of its homes.
Terrain changes your movement
Lava burns, ice is slippery, water slows you down. The arena is as much of an opponent as the legendary is.
Co-op goes in together
In a group the entire room enters the rift, which is the safest way to convert rifts into tickets consistently.
Tickets, not coins
Rift wins pay in gacha tickets, always ×10 per legendary. That makes rifts the fastest legitimate route to unlocking new partners.
The 18 arenas
Each arena is built around a type and its terrain. Check the terrain note before you commit, because two of them change how far your own dashes carry you.

Rift preparation checklist
- 01One move at or near max level before you enter.
- 02A super effective or at least neutral option against the arena's type.
- 03A crowd-clearing move (aura, orbit, burst) so the trash around the boss dies on its own.
- 04Enough movement safety that a slippery or slowing floor will not trap you.
- 05In co-op, a clear split between crowd control and boss damage.
- 06A willingness to walk away: a lost rift costs you nothing but the chance.
Legendary and rift questions
How many legendaries are there?
87. Each one can open a rift, and each rift arena is built from one of the legendary's types.
How often do rifts appear?
They are deliberately rare and there is no fixed schedule. The practical rule is to take every rift you see, because the ×10 ticket reward is the best income in the game.
Can I catch the legendary after beating it?
Beating a rift pays gacha tickets rather than the legendary itself. Those tickets feed the region gacha, which is where new partners come from.
What happens if I lose a rift?
You are sent back to the map and the run continues. There is no permanent penalty, which is why attempting a rift is almost always correct.
Do all 18 types really have an arena?
Yes — one per type, including Normal, which is unusual for a Pokémon game and makes the Normal arena an easier first rift than most.
Why does the same legendary use a different arena sometimes?
Because dual-type legendaries pick one of their two types at random when the arena is generated. Prepare for both if you can.
